Quitting poker

Feel like it at the moment, just went through nearly 300k in a few hours, and while I still feel like being completely outcarded and unable to ever hit my draws in the big pots, I just have to be honest with myself.
I played Ilari HU for a while and he completely outplayed me. I didn´t really see any difference in his play compared to our HU battles a month ago, but I still couldn´t figure out how to beat his aggressive style, which looks pretty plain and simple at first.
Anyways, I hope my upcoming vacation will help me get fresh for new battles, the way I´m playing right now I don´t really belong in those games.
It is always tough when u feel like you are doing something wrong, but just cannot figure out what it is. At first you always try to blame it on bad luck (and it usually starts partly with it) and then you often reach a point of total void, unable to think of anything that might have changed your play, that parted you from the road to success you were walking on.
I only can hope now that I will find what it takes to beat the games as soon as possible, poker is much nicer when you are winning LOL

I think you shpuld quit, because you play too bad, you just got lucky in the past, but now it all goes back, because you are a bad pokerplayer, sorry again.

nimm dir so strohdumme kommentare ohne argumente wie von dem kristiansen hir nicht zu sehr zu herzen. ich denke auch dass du zurzeit nicht dein bestes poker spielst, und ich glaube das so ein urlaub mit netter umgebung diesbezüglich wunder bewirken kann.

Aber er hat sehr schlecht gespielt!! Er muss afhören, sonst gibt er alles zurück.
Er sollte ein Restaurant oder etwas anderes kaufen, und damit “Spielen”,weil er spielt einfach schlechtes Poker.
Er hat in der vergangenheit sehr viel glück gehabt, aber jetzt seher wir was er wirklich kann - Schlecht spielen. Tut mit leid, aber das richtige wäre aufzuhören.

Hi Niki, I am not laughing at you. I am just saying you should quit poker and do something else. You now have money to do something meaningfull with your life. You should have a couple of millions left, which is enough to live a good life without playing poker. Look at David Benyamine, he has no life besides poker. He plays poker 24/7. He is getting fat and chained to his computer.

I feel like quitting poker at times too, although just because the lifestyle is so ridiculous and it’s easy to burn out. I’m currently taking a break too.

Wie kann man ernsthaft einem Pokerspieler raten, aufzuhören?
Ein richtiger Spieler ist auf diesem Ohr taub. Er macht die Gefahr zu seinem Beruf, und ist es nicht fast egal wie es endet, Hauptsache der Weg ist lustig und aufregend? Wen kümmert schon der Schicksal der Erben?
Andererseits: ein bißchen Flexibilität, mal was ganz anderes machen, eine Sache erfolgreich abschließen, und sich einen anderen Herausforderung zuwenden… das hat ganz bestimmt auch was, nur muss man es können, vielleicht dazu geboren sein.
Wer so erfolgreich gestartet ist, der ist infiziert, alle Zeichen stehen auf weitermachen, viele blicken zurück, nun broke, ach hätte ich doch früher aufgehört, eine Jugendsünde eben.
Wer einen Fehler jeweils nur einmal macht, der lernt offensichtlich schnell dazu, und andere entsprechend in ihr Leben reinreden zu wollen, mit guten RatSCHLÄGEN, das ist sicher ein Fehler, den man meist wiederholt.

hi niki, ich meine du solltest die Pause auf jedenfall nehmen ohne Poker in irgendeiner Form, nichtmal daran denken, das macht den Kopf frei und man fühlt sich wie ein junger (Poker-)Gott wenn man wieder zurück an den Tischen ist und seine Gegner ausspielt.
Soweit ich das beobachtet habe spielst du ein klasse omaha und viel wichtiger noch du hast ein gutes “Feeling” für das game, ich spiele zwar “nur” plo50/plo100 aber ich würde mal sagen aufhören (für immer) wäre sicher nicht das richtigste

how can you feel you do not have an edge on the big games if you play youre A game? that upswing couldn’t be just luck/variance statistiquely speaken. you need a coach/person/institute to learn how you can achieve the right mindset all the time. i am a coach myself so when you visit holland i am glad to help:)
but seriously, i know dutch pro-players who really benefited from certain techniques (not from me). they took a camp from an institute with other players and learned a lot and it even did improve there mindset, and so there game too. try for example some nlp-techniques or other mind improving techniques, read about it at least. youre pokerskills are unquestionable, think youre personal skills can be improved.
